The main thrust of government science and technology policy in Canada at the end of the last century can be defined by the following three areas: - the active support of the general information of Canadian society through access to modern communications and information sources - promoting bilateral high-school science and the transformation of university education in the export product; - reform of state regulation of the business sector in order to increase motivation in conducting research.
