In first third XIX century on fur trade in wide front new branches of the Canadian industry - wood and shipbuilding have started to come. There was a considerable quantity of sawing factories. In 1831 in their Bottom Canada already was 737, in the Top Canada - 680. For 1825 422 vessels have been constructed. The city of Quebec becomes the shipbuilding centre. Slowly, but the iron and steel industry steadily developed. Growth of the industry and home market expansion required capital investments. In 1817 in the British North America, in Montreal, there was a first bank, and in 1837 in their Canadian provinces was already 18.
