As explained Immigration Minister Jason Kenney, the budget office has been reduced in light of his anti-Semitic provisions. The official also noted that KAIROS regularly calls for recognition of such terrorist organizations as Hamas and Hezbollah are on the list of terrorist organizations.

In response, the representative of KAIROS said Kenny assertion is untrue, and the decision of the Canadian government is politically motivated. He also said that criticism of Israel should not be construed as anti-Semitism.

Funding had been deprived of several foundations and organizations that provide assistance to Muslim immigrants. They were accused of promoting extremism and violence.
